The Bolitho Novels
[edit]British author Douglas Reeman (using the pseudonym Alexander Kent) has written 30 novels on Captain Richard Bolitho RN. His home was in Falmouth in Cornwall.
Should this not be mentioned in the Wiki, maybe under culture like Kenneth Grahame's classic The Wind in the Willows? Prudence Williams (talk) 17:22, 7 February 2024 (UTC)

Pennycomequick, Smithwick?
[edit]The article about the river Fal asserts that Falmouth was named "Smithwick until the 17th century". In this article an old name Pennycomequick is mentioned. I don't know what to believe about these supposed older names. GdB (talk) 15:05, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- I have seen both these names mentioned in various books. Provided they are properly cited then we should mention them. If there is credible evidence that the sources are incorrect then a footnote should be added. Geof Sheppard (talk) 16:53, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
